The ‘Making It In Barnsley’
video is the key resource on the website. It represents a dynamic and exciting,
investigation into the innovations, developments and success stories in
Education and Industry throughout the Barnsley District.
The programme follows the exploits of two local students as they examine
the multitude of options available to them at Year 10 and beyond. Their
'magical mystery tour' of the borough explores established businesses, new
young entrepreneurs, advances in education and training, before finally
bringing them to future developments within the heart of the town.
The video runs for 26 minutes and is supplied on DVD with a menu option
for subtitles. Alternatively it is downloadable on the website either as
a ‘complete’ low resolution version or as four separate high
resolution sequences that cover the Introduction, Business, Education/Training
and future developments. Click on the appropriate icon to view video sequence.
All files are windows media files (*.wmv) and require Windows Media Player
for playback.
Although users of Media Player 9 are able to watch the video clips with
no problems, it is always advised to upgrade to the latest version of the
player whenever possible.
